(Poem written after sitting in nature for a little while...)
Nature's Peace

Soothing waters, singing birds
Airplanes humming, insects chanting
Many peaceful sounds I heard
Blocking out the stormy thoughts
Giving way to nature's calling
I found the relaxation that I sought
Blocking out the taunting lies
Tuning in to the humming skies
I felt tranquility deep inside
A moment of peace, subtle relief
A moment in which I got to breathe
Was valuable and gave me strength
To be and to feel in the present moment
To turn off the mind rushing ahead
To view the beauty of today's gift

beautiful and soothing.
